Uphiva

Remote — Nigeria · Remote

Uphiva is hiring the person who will own its community and its public voice. This is not a posting-for-the-sake-of-posting role. Uphiva already has the thing most brands spend years trying to buy: eleven active WhatsApp communities where members actually talk to each other. What it does not yet have is someone whose job is to make those rooms worth being in every single week, and to turn what happens inside them into a reason for other people to join. WHAT YOU WOULD ACTUALLY DO Run the communities. Eleven active WhatsApp groups, each with its own character. You would set the rhythm — a reliable weekly drop members come to expect — welcome new arrivals so they are not talking into silence, keep discussions moving, and step in when a thread needs a steady hand. Own the weekly ritual. The anchor is simple and repeatable: a handful of genuinely good remote roles, plus one member's story. You would gather both, write them up, and ship them on the same day every week. Consistency is the whole mechanism here. Find and tell member stories. Somebody landed a role. Somebody made their first sale in the marketplace. Right now those stories exist but nobody is collecting them, and they are the most persuasive thing Uphiva has. Your job is to go and find them, get permission, and tell them well. Run the social channels. Repurpose one strong idea across formats rather than inventing new content daily. Short, specific, useful — written for Nigerian professionals and founders, not for an algorithm. Report honestly. Which posts brought people in, which fell flat, what the community is actually asking for. You would have real analytics, and we would rather hear a number that disappoints than one that flatters. WHO THIS SUITS Someone who has run a real online community and can tell the difference between a busy group and a healthy one. Someone who writes clean, plain English and can hold a consistent voice. Someone comfortable being early — this is a small company where you would shap
